Spicy Hunan Kitchen

This project transformed an ordinary hallway into a permanent architectural light art installation for the grand opening of a new Chinese restaurant in the center of Woburn, Massachusetts.

The multi-disciplinary team, led by Worcester-based artist Aaron Fractal, created this work over the course of the 2020 pandemic shutdown.  Aaron brought in Damien to lend his pixel mapping expertise to help bring the project to completion.  He created a 3-dimensional, multi-layer map of the 32,000+ LEDs in the installation, which provides the viewer with an illusion of depth.  The show was designed in Enttec LED Mapper and was designed to run from open to close, with patterns changing every few minutes throughout the day.
