What happens when a mad scientist with a penchant for gambling discovers that works of art can be used as a portals to bridge two points across time and space? The 1st and 3rd Annual Temporal Gala took place aboard the eccentric Professor Veltius’ time-traveling cruise ship, where he invited his friends from across four different centuries to friendly games of chance to determine the fate of precious works of art.

Cicada’s Temporal Gala blurred the lines between interactive theater and nightclub show to create a captivating experience for attendees. The event transformed the Spirit of Boston into a time ship, bringing attendees along for the ride through an immersive, gamified plot line with a combination of scripted and improv performances.
